Cerberus Expedition Stage Race
The inaugural Cerberus Expedition Stage Race will take place from May 2-4, 2025 from Camp Powhatan BSA Camp (2600 Max Creek Rd, Hiwassee, VA 24347) southwest of Blacksburg, VA. The unique setup of this event allows racers to experience the thrill of multi-day racing without all of the sleep deprivation and dependency on a diet of solely sports nutrition. Each day will feature a unique course which should take teams 8-12 hours to complete. Each stage will feature a specific race discipline (paddling, cycling, trekking) but the focus of each day's race will not be disclosed until maps are distributed the morning of that stage.
Racers will enjoy a prepared breakfast each day before the race. After each day's race is complete, teams are able to clean up, enjoy a communal dinner, and then retire to their lodging to enjoy a restorative rest. Winners for each day's race will be recognized and the champions will be crowned on Sunday based upon the highest cumulative points collected in the lowest cumulative time.
This is the first expedition stage race to be hosted in the United States and we're excited to share this event with you!
